What Causes A Round Bulge On Contracted Stomach Muscles?

I am a 45 year old male 5'10" tall and weigh around 245lbs I have started to work out to loose weight and while doing sit ups I noticed a round buldge when my stomach muscles were contracted and I was wondering if this is normal for a person of my age and weight?

Where is the bulge? Usually, the bulge may see in abdominal hernia patients. Possible hernia sites are an inguinal or umbilical or paraumbilical area or epigastric etcetera. Please consult your surgeon once and get treated accordingly.
