What Causes A Shin Lump With Ache And Tightness?

I have a dull ache, tightness in my shins. I have also noticed a small non painful lump on my lower right leg on the side of my shin about 6 inches above my ankle. I just went and had xrays done waiting for results. I am very scared that it could be something bad. My doctor wouldn t say anything just told me to get dray done first. Hope you can help. Thank You

Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you may be suffering from stress fractur of tibia .You have already done x-rays done results of which are waiting. X- ray will exclude major bony causes however it may not show stress fracture . These are to be excluded by bone scan.Whether you has gone for long walk or dance party. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it.I do hope that you have found something helpful. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries. Wishing you good health. Take care.
