What Causes A Tender Lump Near The Anus?

Hello there.I recently had recovered from an anal fissure.I am a doctor myself.from morning today I am feeling pain close to my anus.I could feel a small tender lump very close to the anus but the overlying skin is fine.its a bit deep seated compared to boils.I am suspecting it might be a peri anal abcess.what is your opinion and what should I do.

This sounds like a correct diagnosis, consider seeking a surgeon for incision and drainage. in the mean time consider anti inflammatory medication, warm compress, course of antibiotics covering anaerobes and gram negative.
