What Causes A Throat Lump With Heart Palpitations, Chest Pain, Stomach Bloating?
39 year old male with a history if Irritable Bowel and some anxiety. But lately have had a lump in my throat, feeling of heart beating hard especially when lying down, and chest pain that feels like gas pushing upward along with upper back pain / soreness (my stomach has been bloated for a while and am using fiber daily). And at times a "wave" like feeling coming from my stomach up my throat, feels like I have been surprised or someone jumped out and was trying to scare me. Is this just more anxiety or ...????

Based on the facts of your query the reply of your query is-
GERD with Globus Pharyngicus with accompanied IBS.
Other causes need to be ruled like-Accompanied hyperthyroidism with Ischemia-and other Ent Conditions affecting the pharynx like Constrictor pharygeus Spasm.
Do's -suggested for your case-
Bland / non spicy / non-fried diet with Low solids and high liquids would recoup you more from Chest pain due to reflux acidity.
Tab Vit B12 / Folic acid to improve the resistance of esophageal and upper gastric mucous to bear with increased acidity.
Gaviscon-Liquid with PPI- like Panto-D- would control the complaints
High fiber diet x regularly
Plenty of fluids x regularly
Antibiotics like Ciplox-OZ-
and Tab Bentyl would recoup the IBS fast.
Tab Zincovit +Vit B12 would recoup the inflamed colonic and intestinal mucosa of the accompanied IBS.
Stool analysis Test and review with GI-Surgeon and GI Endoscopist would be needed if no recovery with initial treatment given to rule out fissure in ano / Proctitis , diverticulosis and Crohn's disease and other causes of the IBS
Just don't worry and be patient and co-operate with your doctors,till you verify with your attending doctors.
Need to Check with Physician / GI Endoscopist and GI-Surgeon if things don't recover.
-Other causes need to be verified with your family GP doctor and team of Specialist doctors, as the facts may be different what you submitted.
