What Causes A Twinging Sensation On The Right Side Of The Abdomen After A Colonoscopy?
Hi, I had a polyp removed during a colonoscopy about 3 weeks ago. About a week ago I began to notice occasional twinges on the right side of my abdomen. Other than these weird twinges, I feel fine - no pain, fever, bowel issues, etc. I guess I need to contact the doctor but am wondering if this is possible serious.

What Causes A Twinging Sensation On The Right Side Of The Abdomen After A Colonoscopy?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. Abdominal pain may be due to spasmodic contractions in gut muscle seen in irritable bowel syndrome or inflammatory bowel problems or food intolerance or electrolyte imbalance, etcetera. Until examination is done, it is difficult to say what it is. Please consult your doctor who will examine and treat you accordingly. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
