General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The weird movement in abdomen with a person having diverticulitis is secondary to intestine spasms following an episode of inflammation through constipation or diarrhea in most instances. The precise care must be followed for her regular bowel movements with the help of fiber content, liquids intake and bulk forming laxative with or without probiotics to give better soothing in her agony. I would not recommend any off line medications for her due to her multiple issues of diabetes, heart failure and kidney problems.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
