What Causes Abdominal Cramping, Shaking Chills And Sleepiness?

I have shaking chills, abdominal cramps, and I am sleepy. No nausea or diarrhea. I had a large bm earlier this morning, which relieved the cramps for a little while, but they are back. I am wearing sweapants, socks, warm slippers, a turtleneck, a fleece sweatshirt, a pile robe, and a hat, and I am still cold. I NEVER have stomach issues.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The given symptoms could be due to viral infection, or it could be an allergic condition in either of this condition it may not need any treatment, but just have bed rest have light diet, drink more water.

It may take a couple of days, and it will come around unless it is the bacterial infection or something else like dyspepsia, food poisoning then it may need medical attention, else it is nothing to worry.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Akhtarhusain
