What Causes Abdominal Cramps Along With Diarrhea?

I have had cramping in my stomach every morning for the past five days. I wake up and have cramps and lose stoles for about three hours then it goes away. Earlier this evening I went to the bathroom and passed a blood clot. I m not bleeding or spotting now.
