What Causes Abdominal Cramps And Yellow Bowel Movement?

I've had stomach cramps and an upset stomach for 7 days. No fever, just continuing cramps in the lower abdomen and sporadic runs to the bathroom.( Sometimes every 10-15 minutes.) The cramps were horrific two nights ago-couldn't get any rest. Since then. the cramping has been less intense and sporadic. When I run to the bathroom, I only discharge a yellowish liquid and a small amount of soft. yellow feces. I've been eating nothing but rice and bananas for two days, and the symptoms persist. I thought I was over it three times in the last three days, but it's back again. What do you think could be causing this?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Your symptoms could be from acute gastroenteritis like infective condition. I suggest you to investigate with stool routine microscopic examination to check if any bacteria or pus cells present. Ofloxacin plus Ornidazole combination drug prescribed. Take Vital Z powder with water to maintain fluid and electrolytes balance. You can include curd in diet. Avoid excess spicy foods. Sporlac like tablet also can be prescribed. I suggest you to consult physician for examination.
