What Causes Abdominal Distention?
My husband is 74 years old and having severe abdominal bloating. There is NO PAIN but his abdomen looks like he is 9 months PREGNANT. He is normally somewhat overweight but not like this. Any ideas? This has been going on for over a month now. He has an appt. with his heart doctor later this week.

I would suggest you do a complete blood count, a biochemical blood test and abdominal sonography to see if it's only fat or is their meteorism or liquid since it's a new problem with one-month history.
