What Causes Abdominal Pain And Blood Discharge While Passing Stools?
I have what my gastroentrologist thinks to be ulcerative colitis however I have been in remission for 2 years. last week, after being under some stress, I started seeing blood and puss when I went to the restroom. I am NOT having bowel movements though and havent for 5 days. My left side is having shooting pains and I have passed probably 3/4 a cup of blood and puss the past 24 hours. Should I go to the ER tonight...I am starting to feel a lot of pain--odd because I have a high pain tolerance
In case of excessive bleeding you have to consult your gastroenterologist otherwise you may develop anaemia and ulcerative colitis-associated complications.
Use tablet Pantoprazole before breakfast for one week. Consult your gastroenterologist he will examine locally and treat you accordingly.
