General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history about your nephew having cannon ball fall off the bed, landed on tail, complains of pain at lower rib cage to belly button and feeling nauseated.
The commonest cause of nausea is reflex mechanism of the body getting nausea to say no to any food or liquid when it feels something offending in the abdomen or so; this is nature's way to stop taking anything orally.
Hence with the history of pain I would advise you the following:
Ultrasonography of the abdomen and to confirm any findings CT scan.
tests of blood, urine and stool.
Clinical evaluation by a General Surgeon is a must to find out any internal problems and get treated according to all the findings correlated together.
