What Causes Abdominal Pain Radiating To Groin Area?
Cause of sudden, woke me up at 5 a.m., abdominal/intestinal pain from my diaphragm down to my groin? Could barely move. Heating pad over the past 5 hours has relieved some of the pain and the intensity, but there is still some as well as residual bruising feeling. Not constipated, no fever, no diarrhea. Ate chicken and vegetables last night about 8pm.
Hi. Thanks for your query. Such pains from diaphragm to groin can be due to severe form of colitis or perforated duodenal ulcer. I would advise you the following: Rush to ER. Stop taking anything orally X-ray of the abdomen in the standing position and Ultrasonography of the abdomen., 'If there is an emergency like perforation, you need immediate surgery for a cure. If there is no perforation, you need a course of an antibiotic, metronidazole and supportive treatment. Colonoscopy and CT scan then to ascertain the cause and get treated accordingly.
