What Causes Abnormal Bowel Movements With History Of Colon Cancer?

What causes oily (orange) bowel movements? I have a colostomy due to colon cancer; I m in remission since 2006, but it s very hard to keep a good seal on my pouches because of all the oil that comes out on the stoma. What possibly could be causing all this oil?

Hi.
Thanks for your query and an elucidate history.
The orange oil in fact would be the real oil you must be taking in the form of food additive which is not saponified by the bile for whatsoever reasons.
This is what is coming out of the colostomy stoma.
I would advise you the following:
Reduce the amount of oil used in foods.
Watch for the foods and the beverages that instigate or enhance the problems. Stop them.
Consume only foods and beverages that suit your intestines.
Send a sample of the stool for lab tests. This will help more to know the details and give guideline for possible treatment.
