What Causes Abnormality In Stools?

in my family complains about the streaks my stop leaves behind in the toilet. it happens regularly. so my question is. what is it about my stool that makes it smudgy? is it my diet? is it my intestinal flora? more importantly, is this a health issue and more than just aesthetically displeasing?
