What Causes Absence Of Periods After Stopping Depo Shots?

I started my depo in 04 after my first son..I stopped it in sept and have not had a period since over the last couple weeks i am experiencing hunger, waking up with a stomach so empty i may throw up but usually dont, weight gain, as well as crying i am moody for reasons that usually dont upset me but i cry anyways...could this be symptoms of the depo or could this be pregnancy

Depo Provera acts by inhibiting the reproductive axis and there preventing ovulation. As part of this mechanism one can have delay in periods or absence of periods while on Depo or for few weeks after stopping it; but it's always better to check with a home pregnancy test if absence of periods after stopping Depo; concerning feature is your mood changes, please do get advice from a psychologist or attending a counseling session may be useful, these symptoms may be due to Depo though.
