What Causes Accumulation Of Fluid In Fontanelle Of 3 Week Old?

My baby is 3 weeks old and yesterday found out that he has fluid build up in his fontanelle. We go tomorrow for a ultrasound. I m just wondering what the best and worst out come of this could be. Is there a chance it may be nothing or is it very likely that surgery will be the outcome?
