What Causes Acid Reflux And Abnormal Functioning Of Adrenal Glands?

I started smelling our big coffee table wood this summer. I thought it was because of the hot summer. Our house is air conditioned, but it can be not so hot and only I smell it. Also, other smells are heightened. I've been diagnosed with acid reflux, I think because of daily, small amounts of alcoholic beverages. I'm not an alcoholic according to the recommended daily consumption criteria. I've had loads of stress this last year, so could it be adrenal glands doing something abnormal? I'm a 54 years old female, not over-weight, and I exercise almost daily. I'm also a nutrition nut.

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history and understood your concerns.
Enhanced sense of smell is an ENT problem hence you should consult an ENT Specialist.
Such sense can heighten may be due to the more opening of the sensitive nasal mucosa due to warm weather which can actually making the smelling ability better.
For acid reflux you have to take a PPI like Omeprazole, antacids and Domperidone which may need a valid prescription.
Avoid exposure to sudden weather changes.
Avoid people with flu like symptoms.
Further management as would be found on ENT examination.
