What Causes Acidity?

Hi, i have been suffering from gastric/Acidity problem from the past 2 years. I consulted couple of doctors but there is no use.. I get burning in stomach if i stay empty stomach for more than 2 hrs.. i burp a lot... really a lot..What could be the problem with me?

The two most common cause of increased acidity are H.pylori infection and taking painkiller medications.
You can get tested for H.pylori infection. There are many ways to test it - blood test, breath test and by endoscopy/biopsy.
You can take medications like omeprazole for relief.
