What Causes Acute Lateral Pain In Leg While Walking?

When walking/hiking down hill - soon an acute lateral pain develops. Once this pain begins even walking down slight slopes or roads can be difficult. This just continuous to get worse. As soon as I can walk on flat, uphill, or several hours of rest, the pain is relieved. When a hike involves more than one day, this pain can stop me. 185lb male 57, have live an active outdoor and sport life.

Hello,

I have studied your case and reports

Canal stenosis leads to pain in your back and leg while walking.

For these symptoms analgesic and neurotropic medication can be started.
Till time, avoid lifting weights, Sit with support to back. You can consult physiotherapist for help.
Physiotherapy like ultrasound and interferential therapy will give quick relief.
I will advise to check your vit B12 and vit D3 level.
Epidural steroid shot can help.
MRI spine will help in diagnosis.

Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.

Wishing you good health.

Take care.
