What Causes Ammonia Smelling Urine In Children?

my grandson wet the bed and at 4:00am woke up screaming and his whole stomach area looked like a very bad sunburn. I have also notices a VERY strong ammonia smell (so strong I had to struggle to breath and leave the room) when washing out is clothe diapers. Is there a condition that we should be worried about and what should we put on the burn like area. He is 2

The description seems incomplete.
But for such a case it is advisable that the child must be taken to a doctor ASAP.
The doctor may be able to see other signs and get investigations done for diagnosis.
