Hi,
From history it seems that he might be having problem of having Vertigo or orthostatic hypotension giving this problem.
He should be very cautious for fall as at this age fracture of hipbone or femur bone is very common and this will cause big problems.
consult your doctor and get examined for orthostatic hypotension or cervical spondilitis.
Ok and take care.
