What Causes An Indentation In Head Of A Child After A Fall?

My 4 yr old flipped backwards off the couch and hit his head on the edge of a wooded coffee table. Skin didn't break, cried for a bit, but has a deep, white indent in his head? This happened 5 days ago and is still the same in size and tenderness. Info please.

Hi...Thank you for consulting in Health Care magic. I understand your concern. First be reassured that your kid is normal. I will suggest you danger signs of head injury -
1. Vomiting continuously
2. Seizures
3. Watery of bloody discharge from ears and nose
4. Unconsciousness
5. Altered sensorium or behaviour.
If none of them are present, I don't think you should worry about his trivial head injury. For pain you can give oral Paracetamol in the dose of 15mg/kg/dose every 4-6th hourly.
