What Causes An Internal Pelvic Area Pain During Sexual Intercourse?

Ok so I m speaking in regards of my girlfriend, and she has an internal pelvic area pain during sexual intercourse... any help on what it may be? It seems as if it might have also thrown off her menstrual cycle, she s off by about a week or two now. I do penetrate and rub the cervix so I don t know if that has anything to do with it..?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Internal pelvic pain during intercourse suggests pelvic inflammatory disease (PID).
Infections are the most common cause of PIDs.
Thus, a pelvic examination by a gynecologist is required.
In addition, high vaginal swab may also be helpful to isolate the organism causing the infections.
