What Causes An Umbilical Hernia Along With Abdominal Bloating?

my belly button has become a bit herniated. I am 62 yrs old and have a little bit of belly fat over the last year I stopped taking hormone replacement medications and gained a little weight . I am 5 3 tall and weigh 145 lbs I am in pretty good physical condition and do work out a bit at home. I have lost in height about 1.5 inches with my neck and back injuries that I deal with. I have been small most of my life. I am still not very big but for me this is over my normal weight which usually rang from 130 -135 in the last few years. I wear a size 8 so not very much overweight. My belly has been a bit bloated at times for the Last year or so. I have IBS and this is now become a problem that occurs too often. I guess that is why this hernia occurred I really don t know. it is painful and to the touch or bumping my tummy against my clothes or a counter if it is bumped. I don t know what to do . I have a pvt care physician and will show him this Thursday . I don t know what to do about this condition. Maybe you can refer me to the right care thank you..Vicki
