Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have pain in upper abdominal area, around the base of the sternum. Constant, now radiates through to the back. When I press on that area I get nauseous, with copious saliva, but pain seems to abate some. Started 2-3 weeks ago, getting more severe/uncomfortable. I have had a cold for a couple of weeks and have taken more ibuprofen than I usually do, but no more than 2-3 per day (200 mg each). Had gallbladder removed years ago. Appetite lessened but am able to eat. Could this be liver or pancreas problem?
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, it seems to be hyperacidity if this is so then try to avoid the NSAID like Ibuprofen because it may aggravate the symptoms more but I would suggest to try Tab Omeprazole 40 mg with Domperidone 20 mg once in day, it is advisable to rule out the cardiac elements too hope this information helps.
