What Causes Anal Pain In A Child?
Hi there My 3 year old son has been complaining lately that his bum hurts. He is not constipated because he goes toilet quite reguarly and eats fruits daily. i have checked his bum and there is nothing there that I can see. Do you think he has worms?

Hi,
Worm infestation usually causes itching rather than pain. Anyhow, if he has not received in last 6 months, give him Albendazol suspension(200mg/5ml) 10ml. For pain, give Paracetamol suspension(250mg/5ml) 5ml for 2-3 days. If pain is persisting, we can evaluate further.
