What Causes Anemia In A Premature Baby?

I have a two-month-old child, was born in the middle of the eighth month, a length of 50 cm and mass 3.5 kg is suffering
Far from anemia, I had him all the necessary tests except the bone biopsy, and take units of blood
The first time and Ando arrived hemoglobin 8.7 a month later dropped to 7 and then take another dose of the blood
Alheimogolpin arrived to class 11 and then decreased to 9.5 .. Is this a disturbing and what are the possibilities

Hi, Thanks for asking. Premature babies have less of iron stores in them as iron is transported more from mother to baby in the last trimester. So as they grow they have iron deficiencies and anaemia. A premature bay should be supplemented with iron after 6 weeks of age. The other heamoglobinopathies or thalasemias causing anaemia usually present between three to six months of age. I hope i have answered your question.
