What Causes Anxiety Attacks, Heart Palpitations, Arm Burning Sensations With Dysgeusia?

I was told about 13 years ago that I have anxiety attacks. I take 150 mg of Zoloft a day. Not often but occasionally I out of the blue I get an odd feeling then my heart rate will beat faster and my arms will have a burning sensation and my tongue has a odd feeling and sometimes I have had a metallic taste. I have had 3 today and I am not anxious these spells just come on without any reason that I am aware of. I have had my heart checked on an annual basis and about a year ago had a nuclear stress test, echo-gram and all came back normal. Any idea?

Dear User,
Going by the description of your problem, it seems you are having Panic disorder. If I were to treat you I would have first ensured compliance to Zoloft. After ensuring the same I would have advised you to increase the dose of Zoloft to 200 mg/day. In my practice I prefer adding Tab. Clonazepam 0.5 mg-1 mg sos for panic attacks.
