Hey, I am 13 and I don't know what is wrong. I have blood in my stools. Do you know what is wrong with me? It has got worse. It used to only happen once every 3 weeks but now it has been going on all day!!!! I am around 8 stone. Female and I am around 5ft 3/4.
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood the concerns. Since you are only 13 years old I would first advise you to contact your parents and thence your Doctor for clinical evaluation, examination and investigations as needed. The cause of blood in stool in a 13 year old female can be hemorrhoids or polyp. This need to be investigated in the following ways: Ano-proctoscopy and colonoscopy if required. Tests of stool and blood. Since the problem is going on you should consult the Doctor as soon as possible as the cause can be something serious. Take Sitz bath in a tub with warm water. Take laxatives if the stool is hard. High fiber diet and avoid outside foods totally.
