my mom has had a couple of strokes( over the years) basically recovered from and a bypass almost 2 yrs ago where they said they did what they could. Her heart function last year was between 30-35% and as of today is around 20% ,She has been diagnosed with CHF... a few months ago she was doing normal things easily, now its hard to get dress without getting exhausted and she shakes alot. Not much of an appetite and has lost over 10pds in 2 months... What would her life expectancy be ..? I know thats not an easy question. She just turned 76.
Hello, Welcome and thanks for your queries. Statistically a person with an EF of 20% lives about 6 months, but there are several who have lived 2 years or more. You can improve her quality of life through certain medicines. I can try to help if you can provide me all the details regarding her blood investigations and medicines. Best wishes,
