What Causes Arm Swelling And Pain?

I have swelling and pain like burning knife stabbing under my left arm. I had a mammogram and ultra sound which found no abnormalities. I now have pain in another area under the same arm. Now closer to my arm than breast like before. ? Do I need biopsy?

After going through your query I concluded that you probably have enlargement of lymph nodes of left axilla. You think correctly that biopsy is a good idea. Biopsy of lymph nodes will give you idea of the disease and will relieve your worries. Till then you can take analgesic for pain relief. Antibiotics can be used to reduce the infection.
