What Causes Arrhythmia After Taking Nadolol And Flecainide?
I have vfib that may or may not be caused by long QT. Doctors can t figure what is causing it or where it is originating. Currently, I take nadolol and flecainide. I ve had four shocks from my defibrillator since January, and the doctors want to do an ablation and put me on quinidine. First, is quinidine safe for someone who may have Long QT? Second, would a doctor do an ablation if they cannot find an area where the arrhythmia occurs?
If this is the long-QT interval and it is not the physiological but have some conduction disturbances then it is better to avoid the quinidine, the most important part of clinical symptom and you have not mentioned it here, you have not mentioned the age and gender here.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Akhtarhusain, General & Family Physician
