What Causes Asymmetric Development Of Breasts And Painful Lump?

My nine year old daughter has pain in her left breast (nipple area). Her right breast is Tanner 1 and her left breast resemble Tanner II - assymetriic with a visible and palpable hard, painful lump. I would like her to have an ultrasound. How common is the assymetric development of breasts with a painful lump?

Hello,

An ultrasound breast is required to look for any swellings like fibroadenoma. If the swelling, is large, it must be excised.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
