What Causes Belching And Burping After Having Spicy Food?

Hello doctor, my mother has been suffering from h.pylori infection for over 2 years now,she has taken medications for the same ..all to no benefit She complains of belching.. She burps all day even on slightest consumption of spicy or sour food, Her stomach bloats on slightest amount of flatulent food like pulses...what should she be doing nw

Hi there,
Thanks for using HCM.
The belching after having spicy food could be due to gastroesophageal reflux disease.
A course of Nexium would provide relief.
She also needs to check her blood glucose levels as the bloating could be either due to gastroparesis. It could be due to increased gas also and so she has to avoid pulses and other gas forming food items like beans, cabbage etc.
