What Causes Black Eye And Swollen Forehead After Hitting?

My grandmother fell yesterday and hit her forehead above her right eye. She was taken to the ER and they released her yesterday. Today she has a black eye and the forehead is still swollen however her check and neck now have bruising. Is this normal or expected.

Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.Those are normal findings in head trauma.You may be concerned if your grandmother experiences worsening headaches, nausea, vomits, any limb weakness. That black eye will go away shortly, ice could help for the swelling.Hope this answers your question.
