What Causes Black Spots Along The Waistline Of A Child?

My nine year old came back from her grandmother s house last week and had a few black spots along her waistline. They haven t grown or anything but after a week they haven t gone away or gotten lighter? What could this be? Should I take her to her doctor? Or am I just over concerned?

Hi....appearance of new spots on the skin anywhere in the body warrants medical attention.

I suggest you 2 options -

1. Upload images on this website so that we can guide you further. This I am suggesting because, skin conditions are best diagnosed after seeing them.

2. Consult a drrmatologist as soon as possible.

Regards - Dr. Sumanth
