What Causes Black Stool In The Morning?

HI! I had Dengue hemorragic fever stage 2, a couple of years ago, 2 days ago I started to feel weak and joint pains, then I think I caught a flu, but this morning I also had black stool, is it possibly because of a common cold only or should I go check with a doctor? thanks

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The most common condition causing black stools is bleeding in the gastrointestinal tract. I suggest you do an endoscopy and visit the gastrologist for further treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi
