What Causes Bleeding After Menstruation Ends?

Hello. This morning I woke up to a slight cramping, and I went to the restroom and saw that I was bleeding. I ended my period last week, but after it ended, I engaged in intercourse with my boyfriend. At one point, the condom broke, but he was not completely inside of me. The next morning I took the morning after pill. I was fine until this morning.

Hi,

Slight bleeding can happen after menopause and it is called as postmenopausal bleeding, generally, it will settle by itself.

If bleeding persists, better to consult a gynecologist and get evaluated to look for other causes.

If bleeding is profuse, you can take drugs like Tranexamic Acid for symptomatic relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
