What Causes Bleeding & Clotting Of Blood During Urination?

Hi. There s been lots of things happening to me that I don t have answers for. The first thing is, just a few days ago, there was blood coming out of my pee hole. I didn t pay this any mind until it stung to pee, and this has happened for that whole day. There was a huge blood clot that came out right befor it mysteriously stopped With that, there s been constant pain underneath my ribcage and the occasional discomfort throughout my abdomen. Now, it physically hurts to hold in my urine when at first it wasn t a big problem at all. The second problem is that ever since about 2-3 weeks ago I ve been having pain at my tailbone. I don t recall injuring it in any way for this to happen, and it really hurts to sit and get back up. I ve tried taking ibuprofen and acetaminophen for the pain, but it doesn t work. I really need help, I m 15. Thanks.

Thanks for query .

The gross hematuria with pain under the rib cage could be due one of the following three conditions
1) Mass in the kidney
2) Infection of the kidney
3) Stone in the kidney .

You need to consult qualified Urologist for clinical examination and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis.
1) Urine routine and culture.
2) Ultrasound scanning of abdomen and pelvis

Further investigations (More tests if needed )and treatment will depend upon result of these tests and final diagnosis.

As regards pain in tail bone it may be due to infection of tail bone (Cocyx).
Taking broad spectrum antibiotic like Doxicycline along with anti inflammatory drug like Diclofenac twice daily will help to get relief from pain .
