What Causes Bleeding During Intercourse?

Ive been bleeding during sex with my boyfriend off and on for the past few years and consulted my obgyn about it more then once. Still i get the same answer, there is not enough lube or im just too dry. Im pretty sure that being dry is not the problem, and the past few times we had sex i seem to bleed more and more and it makes me not want to do ot anymore. Whay else could be the cause?

Bleeding during intercourse is a very common complaint. In the vast majority of individuals the bleeding is nothing serious and will tend to go away on its own.

Most cases of vaginal bleeding after intercourse can occur if you are near the time of your period, bleeding from your uterus and any trauma to the walls of the vagina.

Most of the time this occurs when penetration takes place without enough lubrication. This type of bleeding is usually painful.

I think you should take an appointment with your Gynecologist for further evaluation of this bleeding. Your doctor will likely be able to tell you the source of bleeding and can suggest the treatment.
