What Causes Bleeding During Menopause?

I am almost 50 yrs old and considered in menopause since not having a period for over a year now (16 mos). A week ago I had a pap test and 2 days later started bleeding like having a period. I am on day #6 of this so-called period. The blood is different than what it had been with my period as this time it is a bright red. Is it possible that the pap test stimulated another period after this amount of time?:

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, this is some time happens and often seen the vaginal bleeding during the menopause, and this has to be taken seriously because this may not be normal phenomenon and that need to be ruled out and for that investigation is necessary and the best option is ultrasonography test, hope this information helps you have nice day.
