Hello,
I have gone through the query and understood your concern. Your symptoms suggest that you are experiencing urinary tract infection. If the bleeding is fresh, it is likely being issued from the urethra. If the blood is altered in color, the source is higher up. I would suggest a urinalysis, renal scan and blood counts. You would need urinary alkalinizers, antibiotic to control the infection and supportive treatment. Considering your age, it is likely that you may have entered the perimenopause. This is the likely cause of the delayed period. Also, as the epithelial linings thin out owing to hormone depletion, infections become frequent. Please abstain until you are well healed. Take care.
