What Causes Bleeding From Anus Despite Having IBS?

I am on cipro for a UTI. I only have one day s dose remaining. Last night I began itching, so I went ahead and took Fluconazole. I also have IBS, so I have stomach discomfort frequently. This afternoon I began feeling irritated in the anal area. When I returned home and used the bathroom, there was bright red blood on the tissue when I wiped. I think it came from the anus, not the vagina or urethra. I DO have hemorhoids -sp? also. Does the bleeding sound dangerous?

might be having proctitis. go for sitzbath. apply proctosedyl ointment per an um. you are having uti asper your report.get your self checked by doctor to asses anal inflammation. avoid constipation take cremafin at bed time for few days.
