What Causes Bleeding From The Anus?

I know someone who is bleeding from the anus, they experienced no faintess or pain but there was an excessive amount of blood. I need to know if he should go to the hospital now or if he can wait a day because he has no medical insurance so he can only go to a certain hospital. Thank you.

If there is profuse bleeding, he should go see a surgeon. He may be having hemorrhoids which are bleeding. May wait for a day if bleeding is mild
