What Causes Bleeding In Nose And Corner Of Eye While Having Sinus Problems?

Hi, My friend has sinus problems, does nasal rinses and takes Claritin D on regular basis. Last night while driving his nose srarted bleeding and blood came from the corner of his eye. His head started hurting also. IT HAS stopped now. WHAT could have caused this?

Definitely the problem can be due to sinus pathology.To reach a final diagnosis in my opinion,you need a CT scan of paranasal sinuses.
