What Causes Bleeding Stool, Hardness In Stomach, Nausea And Joint Pain?
About 6 weeks ago I had an unexpected bleeding stool for the entire day, next day it was gone. I had recently haven't had a bm in about 4 days stomach tight and hard at the top and soft at the bottom, I feel like my stomach is empty, light headed with a slight pain which makes me feel as if i have vomit, I feel pain in my side as well, hard to swallow along with joint pain.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Constipation with pain in the abdomen and hardness in the upper abdomen along with nausea can be due to fecalith obstruction in the transverse colon.
I would advise you the following: • Get an X-ray of the whole abdomen in the standing position. • Take a laxative and if this does not help, put a suppository in the rectum or go for an enema to relieve constipation. • If the symptoms recur go for colonoscopy and CT scan of the abdomen to get a proper diagnosis and proper treatment.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. T Chandrakant
