Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
When I go to the toilet to move my bowels I have just had a heavy bleed from my back passage, I am certain it wasn't a period as I haven't had any in over 18 months and because I didn't get any of the usual period pains or symptoms so I decided to look online to find out what the problem could be and I have read about crohns disease and my symptoms seem to match but would like some advice on what to do
- Add fiber to your diet slowly to avoid problems with gas. Use topical treatments. - Apply over-the-counter hemorrhoid cream or suppository containing hydrocortisone. - Use pads containing witch hazel or a numbing agent. - Soak regularly in a warm bath or sitz bath.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi
