What Causes Bleeding When Urinating?

ok, maybe. Last Thursday I woke up and had lots of blood in my urine. This went on all day everytime I peed. I thought I had a kidney stone. Then it stopped on Friday and not again until Sunday and I have been doing this ever since. I went to the dr and they did an IVP which showed no kidney stones, kidneys are good in location, contour, and such...So I have an appointment this Friday with a Urologist. What do you think it might be?

Hai,
Blood in urine may indicate any infection, stone.
as you ruled out there is no renal stone. possibility of any urinary tract infection.
at times poor intake of water may lead to blood in urine due to dehydration. most common in humid temperature especially in diabetic patients.

kindly do urine routine and urine culture to rule out the cause.
