What Causes Bleeding While Having Sex?

While having sex with my boyfriend the other night i started bleeding. Once we realized it we continued but it just got worse so we stopped, I wasn't due to start my period for about five more days, but that night i put in a tampon thinking i had started but in the morning there was no blood! This is not my first time having sex and i am not on birth control any idea whats going on?

Hi.
The bleeding during sex and not having any blood on tampon or when the periods are not due can be due to a few reasons like cervicitis, tear of the vaginal wall at the opening and so on.
Get a clinical examination by getting a per-speculum examination by a Gynecologist to see what the real problem is and to get treated accordingly.
